Training & Experience
I hold Diplomas in Person-Centred Counselling and Solution Focused Brief Therapy, which complement each other well as highly effective approaches. I also hold a Masters in Applied Psychology and have lectured for a few years in Psychology at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen.
From a professional practice point of view, I originally trained as a Counsellor within a GP practice in the Aberdeenshire area. I am a Director of the UK Association for Solution Focused Practice. As well as counselling, I have been supporting people as an Executive Coach for over 20 years.
This gives me in-depth knowledge and experience in the application of effective, evidence-based practices.
