Online using Google Meet, MS Teams, or your preferred platform.
Telephone counselling can also be a convenient and helpfully anonymous-feeling alternative.
Timing:
How frequently would we meet?
Sessions are a standard 50 minutes long. People often like to meet at a regular weekly or fortnightly time, especially to start with, and often spread them out as things improve.
If you have commitments that make a fixed time difficult, I can be flexible with appointment times.
How many sessions?
Sometimes even one or two sessions gives someone what they need, although it's useful to think of around 5 or 6 sessions as a likely minimum.
You are under no obligation to have a specific number of sessions and you are free to cancel at any time. I usually ask for a minimum of 48 hours notice if possible, but I will understand if something urgent comes up.
Equally, there are no limitations in terms of a fixed or limited number of sessions. If you feel the need for longer-term support, I can be here for as long as you need.
Do you offer evening appointments?
Yes, I can offer evening sessions if this would be a better option for you. Please just ask.
Cost:
My standard fee is currently £75 per session (no VAT).
I can offer a reduced rate for those on low incomes. I am always more than willing to discuss my fees in a flexible way.
